| TOMS RIVER - While cutting the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the Loving Care Agency Inc., Mayor Thomas F. Kelaher commended officials for adding a pediatric division to their senior healthcare agency here.
"The addition of Loving Care Agency's pediatric home care division now makes the facility an asset to both Toms River seniors and children alike," said Mayor Kelaher at the 1201 Route 37 East facility. "It is health care service providers like Loving Care that assure elderly and youthful individuals are given all the assistance they need right from their own home, making them feel as comfortable as possible while they are treated for their ailments."
According to Bob Rankin, assistant vice president of sales and marketing, Toms River is the third New Jersey site for pediatric home care services, serving both Ocean and Monmouth county children. Loving Care Agency Inc. also has pediatric branches in Cherry Hill and Ridgefield Park, as well as pediatric branches in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Indiana and Illinois.
"Loving Care Agency is excited about opening its newest pediatric branch office in Toms River because it now gives us the ability to provide home care services to adults and children in the local community, allowing them to remain in their home environment that is warm, familiar and nurturing," said Rankin.
The new pediatric home care division added to the Toms River site assists families faced with the challenges of caring for medically fragile children who have complex care needs.
"Our dedicated team of clinicians are commayor mitted to preserving each child's right to be at home, surrounded by their families. As a leading provider of specialized, comprehensive home care and support services to children and their families, the Loving Care Agency works with major medical centers throughout the country to successfully integrate communitybased care and access to care for children," added Rankin.
While adding the pediatric home care division, the Toms River site, one of 12 adult branch offices in New Jersey, will continue to dedicate providing seniors with their daily living activities.
"It has long been established that seniors wish to age in place. Of course, you don't have to be a senior citizen to want to be at home. Adults of all ages, with functional and emotional limitations, may require some assistance in order to fulfill the wish to remain at home," said Rankin.
